WTBF AM & FM cover much
of Southeast Alabama. Pike County is our county of license.
Population is around 30,000 plus 5,000 students enrolled at Troy State
University. Troy, the largest city, is located 50 miles south of
Montgomery and 60 miles northeast of Dothan. US 231 is the main corridor
through this city for Middle America and Canada to I-10 and
South Florida both ways. Over 16 million people pass through
this city every year. Small industry, military support facilities, agriculture
and state government facilities account for over $563 million in annual
wages in Pike County alone.

Programming
WTBF 970 AM is a community
involved station. The popular Morning Show has supported
community activities Monday thru Saturday mornings for over 50 years.
Simulcast from 5:30a.m. until 9:00a.m. , this feature is filled with
agriculture, weather, programs, and news for area schools, TSU, churches,
and civic clubs.
ABC news, Rush Limbaugh, and Clark Howard,
complete the daily talk period. Big Band Shows are provided on Saturdays,
and Sundays are programmed for Area Churches. WTBF 94.7 FM
shares the Morning Show until 9:00a.m. Dave
"Doc" Kirby plays all your favorite hits to listen to on the ride home
on " "Driving home With Doc" from 4 - 6 PM. ABC's Timeless Favorites
is the featured music for the rest of the 24 hour period. Paul
Harvey News & The Rest of the Story are weekday
events.
WTBF AM & FM support the local schools and TSU sports. AM & FM
broadcast schedules for eight high schools and is the FLAGSHIP
STATION for all TSU sports, including full schedule in football,
basketball, and baseball. The WTBF WAGON is a remote
broadcast studio / refreshment center that is in demand for special events
over a three county area. Remote broadcasts are available upon
request.
