The Market

WTBF AM & FM cover much of Southeast Alabama.  Pike County is our county of license. Population is around 30,000 plus 5,000 students enrolled at Troy State University.
Troy, the largest city, is located 50 miles south of Montgomery and 60 miles northeast of Dothan. US 231 is the main corridor through this city for Middle America and Canada   to I-10 and South Florida both ways. Over 16 million people pass through
this city every year. Small industry, military support facilities, agriculture and state government facilities account for over $563 million in annual wages in Pike County alone.

 The People

WTBF is proud of our people. Longevity describes our staff. Most have been with us more than 20 years. Our sales team has 15 to 20 years experience with this station... experience our advertisers depend on. Our staff announcers are Troy University students working toward degrees in journalism and business. Many of our student staff have gone on to broadcast carriers in radio and television. Our three owners have over 120 years experience with our station.
