Otis Stone



Otis Stone is a volunteer at WTBF during the Morning Show. He answers phones and sometimes interjects interesting commentary.  Otis Stone is a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was born in Dalton, Georgia and graduated from Dalton High School in 1951. His military career started when he joined the Navy April 1, 1953. After recieving an Honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he joined the U.S Air Force with the rank of Technical Sergeant. He served in Udon, Thailand in the RTAFB and was in the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Squadron in Beale AFE of California. He retired from the U.S Air Force with over 22 years of service. He married his sweetheart, Louise "Lucy" Hester Stone on June 22nd, 1957 and they have 3 wonderful adult children and 6 delightful grown grandchildren. The Stones have been members of First Baptist Church of Troy for over 35 years serving in the church. Otis is the Secretary and Treasurer of the Troy Exchange Club, joining in February of 1980. He is a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board and is a Sav-A-Life supporter. Otis currently serves as a Post Chaplin in the American LEgion of Troy, Post 70.
